31st December 2006 Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: sw ish Wind Stength: 20- 40 mph Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: What a great day to finish off 2006! Wind was a bit light at first but stuck it out with the 6.3 then things kicked off big style. Really good fun just blasting in totaly over powered conditions(didn't want to risk changing down). Managed a few gybes but most of the time it was just bank to bank just too gusty and hairy for gybing. At one point I nearly lost my board and rig in the bank side reeds as I unhooked ready to get off and a huge gust took the board and rig away from me. I hung onto the 6.3 as long as I could then called it aday as it was starting to get cold too late to change down |
